UFC news: Conor McGregor given ultimatum, Nate Diaz fumes, Jon Jones unveils next opponent | UFC | Sport

Conor McGregor receives ultimatum from Jorge Masvidal.

BMF titleholder Jorge Masvidal has urged Conor McGregor to put up or shut up about fighting him following the Irishman’s recent Twitter call out.

A few hours after Masvidal beat Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 244 in New York, McGregor publicly declared his desire to fight the Miami native.

Masvidal has grown tired of seeing the former two-division champion talk about returning to the Octagon, and told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani: “Throw some numbers my way. If you want to get your a** kicked in April, I’m here. If not, stop talking.”

Nate Diaz teases retirement

Ultimate Fighter season five winner Diaz has hinted he’s preparing to hang up his gloves less than a week after losing to Masvidal via doctor stoppage at Madison Square Garden.

On Thursday morning, the Stockton native tweeted: ““F*** a rematch. This s**t was over before it started I’m goin’ on out on tour

“Peace out fight game.”

Jon Jones reveals next opponent

UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has revealed he intends to fight the in-form Dominick Reyes next ahead of Corey Anderson, whom many thought would be ‘Bones’’ next opponent following his emphatic first-round knockout victory over Johnny Walker at UFC 244.

Early on Thursday morning, the New York native tweeted: “Just finished a coaches meeting studying Dominick and Cory‘s careers.

“Established Dominick’s definitely the more dangerous fighter. Beating his ass next. Cory moves when I say move.”
