TOTTENHAM 0-2 CHELSEA

94: “A third racism warning over Spurs stadium speakers – the game should have been stopped and players taken off,” writes Rob Harris on Twitter.

92: Spurs fans want a penalty as Marcos Alonso clings to Dele Alli inside the penalty area. It’s quickly reviewed by VAR and nothing is given.

90: There will be eight minutes of added time.

88: Should be 3-0. N’Golo Kante is sent free inside the Chelsea penalty area but he inexplicably turns back on himself and allows the Spurs defence to recover.

86: Now what’s happening here? There’s a VAR check to see whether Kurt Zouma has clipped the heels of Dele Alli. It takes an eternity, which is annoying because it’s obviously outside the box. Christian Eriksen slams it on target but Rudiger makes the block with a brave, stooping header.

84: Two changes for Chelsea. Michy Batshuayi comes on for Tammy Abraham and Reece James replaces Cesar Azpilicueta. Second tannoy announcement about racism now. Unclear at this stage whether that’s repetition or relating to another incident.

“Racist behaviour from spectators is interfering with the game. Please remember that racism has no place in football,” the announcer says.

81: Antonio Rudiger blocks Davinson Sánchez’s run and the Chelsea defender is the eighth player to be booked. Less than ten minutes for a Tottenham response but it doesn’t look likely.

78: Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger reported the alleged racist abuse. He appeared to make monkey gestures, hinting at what he’d heard from the Tottenham supporters. Cesar Azpilicueta reported this to the referee and Anthony Taylor relayed that information to the fourth official.

75: Tanguy Ndombele and Danny Rose come on for Jan Vertonghen and Lucas Moura. Looks like the Brazilian may’ve picked up a knock.

73: We’re hearing reports from Sky Sports that Anthony Taylor stopped play to discuss an alleged racial abuse incident. Antonio Rudiger raised the issue and there has been a stadium announcement. It said: “Racist behaviour from spectators is interfering with the game.”

70: Chelsea make a change as Jorginho comes on for Mateo Kovacic. The Italian will settle things down.

67: Toby Alderweireld is the next to be booked after shoving Tammy Abraham over on the touchline. That’s Tottenham’s fifth booking of the afternoon.

64: This is getting nasty here in north London. An object has been thrown at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and referee Anthony Taylor suspends play before jogging over to consult with the fourth official. It looked like a bottle but we’ve not seen a replay.

61: RED CARD! He’s off! VAR checks the incident and Son Heung-min is shown a straight red card. There wasn’t too much force with Son’s kick but the studs were showing and it was dangerous.

60: Oh that’s naughty. More than naughty actually. Son Heung-min is tackled by Antonio Rudiger and the attacker lashes out with his feet. He raises his boot into Rudiger’s stomach and the Chelsea star goes down theatrically.

58: Moussa Sissoko goes in the book for a wild, late lunge on Willian. That gives Chelsea a free-kick right on the byline. Mason Mount drills it at the near post but the danger is cleared. Frank Lampard will be very happy with what he’s seeing today.

55: Disallowed! Paulo Gazzaniga gets a reprieve another catastrophic error. He spills Marcos Alonso’s long-ranger into the path of Tammy Abraham, who cooly converts. He’s a yard or two offside when applying the finish and the goal is scratched off.

53: Unless Jose Mourinho told his side to remain lacklustre and continually give away possession – they’ve not listened to him. Serge Aurier whips a cross into the middle but it’s easily gathered by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

50: Moans and groans from home supporters as Chelsea enjoy a period of uninterrupted pressure. Tammy Abraham nips behind the Tottenham defence but decides to hook it back for Mason Mount instead of smashing it. Jan Vertonghen intercepts.

48: I’m still absolutely stunned with Paulo Gazzaniga. I mean, why didn’t he just catch it? Hysterically bad goalkeeping.

Willian’s penalty was Chelsea’s 100th Premier League goal against Spurs – in the competition’s history, only Man Utd v Everton (101), Liverpool v Newcastle (101) and Arsenal v Everton (107) have scored more goals against a single opponent.

TOTTENHAM 0-2 CHELSEA

45: Well look, I don’t want to be too nasty but that’s the second blatant penalty Anthony Taylor has failed to give in live action. The first was Marcus Rashford’s against Manchester City. Got a feeling he’s going to continue to play a big part in this one – looks rattled.

Jose Mourinho makes a change with Eric Dier replaced by Christian Eriksen.

“What does Mourinho see in Dier? He doesn’t want the ball, when he does get it he can’t pass forward and off the ball he just runs around aimlessly,” says Matt on Twitter.

Twitter reaction

Johnny: Tottenham getting outplayed again just like the Manchester United game. Paulo Gazzaniga making a ridiculous challenge there. He has hands! I’m worried watching this in the second half. Hopefully a comeback!

Mike: The referee in this game has been awful. No card for Mousa Sissoko diving in on Kepa and tried to give the pen as a foul against Spurs! Thankfully VAR made the right call. How he thought Alonso was the guilty party I’ll never know. Dreadful.

Luke: Spurs fans booing their players and Mourinho already? What gives them the right to demand anything more after a year or so of being a “big club”. Can’t be booing VAR, its their best and only quality player this year.

Ben: That was one of the best first half performances we’ve had all year. Frank’s tactics are perfect. Great movement and energy. Couldn’t be better.

TOTTENHAM 0-2 CHELSEA

HT: Absolute mayhem towards the end of that half. Heads totally gone all over the pitch – and most of them were wearing white. Honestly, I will never understand what Paulo Gazzaniga was trying to do with his clearance and I’ll never know how the referee got it wrong. See the video above and let me know what YOU think.

TOTTENHAM 0-2 CHELSEA | WILLIAN

48: GOAL! Willian sends Paulo Gazzaniga the wrong way with a confident penalty to double his and Chelsea’s tally.

46: It’s a penalty! VAR finally shows its worth by overturning Anthony Taylor’s shocking decision. Spurs fans boo but there’s no way you could argue against that.

45: What on earth is happening in north London?! This game is completely out of control. Paulo Gazzaniga rushes off his line to clear the ball, misses it and kicks Marcos Alonso in the head! Referee Anthony Taylor gives it in favour of Spurs but nobody quite knows why. It goes to VAR…

“Ridiculous. It’s an assault,” says Gary Neville.

44: Fight! Dele Alli and Mateo Kovacic have a coming together in the middle of the park and both hit the deck. Play continues but then Gary Neville’s signature “oorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr” is heard. The pair start squaring up, pushing and shoving until they are split up. Both booked, obviously.

43: Ouch! Just ridiculous from Moussa Sissoko, but I’m not surprised. He’s always losing the battle to stretch for a through pass but continues regardless and bundles dangerously into Kepa Arrizabalaga. Anthony Taylor must been feeling charitable because he’s not even reached for a card

40: Where are you going, Dele?! Alli is back defending but doesn’t have a clue how much time he’s got and nearly dribbles the ball over his own byline for a corner. Just disastrous stuff.

38: What a hopeless long ball! Moussa Sissoko has just hoofed the ball from inside his own half, straight into the arms of Kepa Arrizabalaga. Not a Spurs player within 20 yards of it! Jose Mourinho’s side have had a decent amount of success down the flanks but they’ve totally ignored them over the last 10 minutes.

35: Booked! Kurt Zouma just hacks away at Harry Kane deep in Spurs territory and then prevents him from taking a quick free-kick. Anthony Taylor shows the first yellow of the afternoon. Quite interesting to see Antonio Rudiger almost playing as a midfielder – pressing Spurs high up the field.

32: Another update, another chance goes begging. Marcos Alonso gifts the ball to Harry Kane, whose curling cross picks out Son Heung-min. The forward can’t control his finish and fires wide of the target. More encouraging for Jose Mourinho and Co now.

29: Just as I write that, Harry Kane squanders a good opportunity. It’s quite similar to Kevin De Bruyne’s opener against Arsenal last week except the England talisman couldn’t keep it down when Moussa Sissoko squared it over.

26: I suppose the warning for Chelsea will be that they started this well against Manchester City earlier in the season and couldn’t sustain it. No immediate sign of an equaliser from Tottenham and I haven’t seen Harry Kane touch the ball yet.

23: Everything about Chelsea is just completely on-point thus far. The pressing is excellent, the positioning of the back five is nullifying Spurs’ front three and the countering looks dangerous. Tammy Abraham floats a cross over to Mason Mount in the middle, but Davinson Sanchez nicks it off his toes as he’s pulling the trigger.

20: “Abraham!” shrieks Martin Tyler on Sky Sports as Tammy Abraham diverts a Mason Mount cross wide of the target. We’re 20 minutes in here and Spurs are really struggling. Zero efforts on goal and barely more than three passes strung together.

17: Mason Mount has gotten away with one there. He flies in late on Eric Dier and catches the Spurs midfielder right on the ankle. Nothing given. VAR not interested either apparently.

14: That opener was no less than Chelsea deserved. They’ve been the sharper and braver side. Saying that, I have absolutely no idea what Serge Aurier was doing backing off. Dele Alli ducking out of the way wasn’t a help either…

11: GOAL! What a hit from Chelsea star Willian.

Of course I took him out of my Fantasy Football team this week, and of course he’s punished myself and Tottenham. The Brazilian is allowed to dart into the penalty area unopposed and he bends in a beautiful strike from the edge of the box.

10: Corner to Chelsea. Willian switches play out to Cesar Azpilicueta, who sets it back for N’Golo Kante to cross. Tammy Abraham glances it wide via Toby Alderweireld but Spurs clear. Marcos Alonso being booed every time he touches the ball here – not entirely sure why…

8: Terrific atmosphere inside this magnificent stadium this evening. The kind of atmosphere that usually generates a special match. It’s also the last game before Christmas so you just know we’ll get something good. Tammy Abraham tries to turn Toby Alderweireld inside the penalty area but the Spurs defender, who signed a new deal this week, sticks to the task.

5: Well that’s your warning, Fikayo! The Chelsea defender gifts the ball to Dele Alli in a central position but the Spurs midfielder can’t find a colleague. Could have been dangerous.

3: Confident start from the visitors, who are spraying the ball from left to right trying to find those pockets of space. The front three of Chelsea are pushing on to try to stop Tottenham from playing out from the back.

TOTTENHAM 0-0 CHELSEA

1: And after a stunning lights show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – we’re underway. A smiling and happy Jose Mourinho embraces former pupil Frank Lampard in the technical areas before heading to the benches. The Portuguese looks deadly serious – perched on the edge of his seat. He wants this…

There’s a minute’s applause before kick off as everyone inside the ground pays tribute to the legendary Martin Peters, who died yesterday.

Love this!

Jose Mourinho had his Sky Sports interview before Tottenham vs Chelsea interrupted by an irate Gary Neville, who was in disbelief as he watched David de Gea’s mistake against Watford out of shot.

Mourinho was speaking to Geoff Shreeves one hour before his side’s London derby against the Blues but the interview unravelled as Neville raged at his beloved United.
