Sophie Countess of Wessex news: Shunned example set by Kate Middleton

Sophie Countess of Wessex is the wife of Prince Edward, the Queen’s youngest child. She married the prince in 1999, in St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Jane Taylor told Marie Claire: “My first royal client was the Countess of Wessex, and it was quite nerve-racking.

“But she wears such lovely clothes and she always looks so fabulous, so it’s quite easy to design for her.

“Since she came to see me, she’s never worn any other milliner’s hats, which is a big compliment. I was really excited, honoured, and slightly nervous.”

The Countess is a fashion fan, and was, in fact, she became the first ever Patron of London College of Fashion in 2013.

The Countess has also revealed in the past that she doesn’t use a stylist, unusually.

Most royal women, including the Queen, employ stylists.

Sophie told the Sunday Express in the past: “It’s about my charities but I recognise that I’m on display.

“When you walk into a room, yes, people are going to talk about what you’re doing there, but they’re also going to want to know what you’re wearing.”

It was recently claimed by an expert the Queen trusts Sophie Countess of Wessex with a secret job.

Judi said: “Sophie looks suspiciously like woman the queen trusts to keep an eye on some of the younger royals, offering support and some industrial-strength ice-breaking during their recent frosty get-togethers.”

Judi claims the Countess quietly fulfils this role, and did so back in March when Harry and former-actress Meghan Markle left the Royal Family.
