Ollie Williams net worth: How rich is Love Island contestant? Huge family wealth revealed

Love Island newbie Ollie, 23, has made no secret of his fancy background, and lists his occupation as Heir to the Lanhydrock Estate/Land Owner. The family title is Viscount Clifden, and Ollie’s father, Andrew, 52, is Lord of the Manor of Lanhydrock.

So how much is the family worth, and what will Ollie inherit when he becomes the Lord of the Manor himself?

His family owns the picturesque Lanhydrock Estate, as well as Polzeath beach.

Ollie revealed he uses the latter fact to chat up women, and said: “Best chat up line I’ve ever used is, ‘Do you know Polzeath beach in Cornwall? I own it.’

“That’s it. Chat up line, done.”

Lanhydrock is owned by a private limited company. The most recent records show the company’s net worth is £9.2million, an eyewatering sum.

Lanhydrock House – a beautiful late Victorian country house – has been looked after by the National Trust since 1953, but the Lanhydrock Estate Company, which owns and runs the land, is family owned.

On the Lanhydrock Estate website, it explains: “The Lanhydrock Estate Company, established in 1934, consists today of a variety of business entities owning, running or managing farm land, buildings, houses and offices over some 2500 acres in Lanhydrock and the surrounding area.

“Historically Lanhydrock Estate simply managed it’s landholding assets. However, more recently the focus has shifted to a programme of retaining and enhancing Lanhydrock Estate’s assets wherever possible.

“Lanhydrock Estate has adopted a committed investment programme by investing in capital projects to rejuvenate traditional redundant farm buildings and convert them into rural offices and storage facilities.

“Lanhydrock Estate’s mission statement is to look to the future, retain and enhance its land holding while adopting a sustainable development strategy.”

Ollie studied criminology at Royal Holloway University, and shows a love of rugby, shooting and the gym on his social media accounts.

Prior to University, Ollie was educated at Truro School, a private mixed school where fees cost up to £4,895 a term.

Despite knowing he will inherit a fortune, Ollie has had a varied career.

On his LinkedIn account, Ollie reveals he modelled for England Rugby back in 2016, worked at posh gunmakers Holland and Holland in 2018, and most recently worked as a Racing Assistant at Highclere Thoroughbred Racing for three months in 2019.

He also spent time volunteering in Mozambique on the anti poaching team for two months in 2018 – although he has already sparked controversy after it was revealed today he has indulged in hunting in Africa.

According to his LinkedIn account, Ollie joined Lanhydrock Estate Company formally in January 2015, so he held his other positions while juggling his Junior Estate Manager role.

Ollie may already be rich – but many reality stars get their wealth after finding fame.

Mark Wright is one of the original reality TV stars after shooting to fame on The Only Way Is Essex.

He starred as one of the main cast members for three series before moving into a career as a presenter.

How much money does he have in the bank? The amount might surprise you.
