Michelle Obama news: How ex-FLOTUS ‘looked down’ on Hillary Clinton exposed by aide | World | News

According to the author of ‘First Women: The Grace and Power of America’s Modern First Ladies’, Kate Andersen Brower there is a “personality clash” between the two women. Ms Andersen Brower, a former White House correspondent of Bloomberg News, interviewed more than 200 staff members and aides to find out more about the former First Ladies of the US.

She even looked through files of previously unread correspondence between former First Ladies such as Bess Wallace Truman, Lady Bird Johnson, Nancy Reagan and Jackie Kennedy.

She even looked through the correspondence of Michelle to find out more about the elusive former First Lady.

Despite there being tensions between many of the First Ladies, the author said the relationship between Michelle and Hillary is “fraught with hurt feelings and resentment”.

Reportedly, some of the tensions between the two women come from when Hillary ran for the Democrat nomination when she mocked former US President Barack Obama’s speech at a rally in Ohio.

She said: “I could stand up here and say, ‘Let’s just get everybody together.

“Let’s get unified.

“The sky will open, the light will come down, celestial choirs will be singing, and everyone will know that we should do the right thing, and the world would be perfect’…”.

Shockingly, one of Barack’s former aides told Ms Andersen Brower that when Michelle views the Clintons she’s actually looking down on them.

Ms Andersen Bower said: “The Obamas see themselves as people who are fighting for causes and ideals, not for money and power – which is how they see the Clintons.

“Hillary can’t wait to come back to the White House, but Michelle can’t wait to leave.”

There have also been no attempts to cover up the women’s animosity, according to the author.

When Hillary was Secretary of State, there were no dinners between the two couples.

Hillary also set up a programme called Save America’s Treasures which she began when she was First Lady.

The programme was set up to preserve America’s historic sites.

Hillary allegedly hoped Michelle would help support the programme when she became First Lady but Ms Andersen Brower said she did not “feel any such obligation”.

She said: “She did not prioritise the programme, which has since lost its funding.”

Before becoming First Lady, Michelle attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School.

She had a career as an attorney at a Chicago Law firm called Sidley & Austin, where she also met her husband Barack Obama.
