Meghan Markle: Prince Harry’s wive already negotiating Givenchy commercial deal

Meghan Markle is said to be negotiating a deal that could be worth millions with fashion brands including the French fashion house behind her wedding dress, Givenchy. A source told the Sun: “Meghan is very connected in the fashion industry and there are a lot of major labels who would like to partner with her on projects.

In her hands Meghan held the Givenchy Mini Pocket Quilted Bag in a turquoise hue. The bag is £850 full price.

Meghan has already turned her hand to a number of fashion-related projects, include guesting editing the September issue of British Vogue.

Additionally, she created a Smart Set charity collection for SmartWorks in September last year.

The capsule collection sold out, and soon garments were sold on eBay for inflated prices.

Meghan and Harry have spent the last six months trademarking products set to make them £400million, it has been revealed.

Andy Barr, retail expert and co-founder of online price tracking website, www.alertr.co.uk, commented on the news Meghan and Harry have trademarked the brand name “Sussex Royal”, as well as various items.

The trademark could be used on books, paper, journals and pencils, footwear, sweaters, pyjamas and campaigning material.

Mr Barr said: “This will just be the stepping stone for higher value products being launched later down the line. Undoubtedly this will be a multi-million pound revenue business given they are effectively trading on the back of the Royal name which is ironic given they are seemingly trying to escape its clutches.

“We would conservatively estimate that the ‘MegRy’ revenue will dwarf that of Prince Charles various Duchy business fortunes. With his revenue estimated to be £200m in the last year, we would not be surprised to see Harry and Meghan more than double that from scratch with their combined global appeal.”
