Meghan Markle news: Prince Harry’s wife took this parenting tip from Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became parents on 6 May 2019 when Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born. Just days after giving birth, Meghan stepped out with Archie for the first time at Windsor Castle. Although he has mostly stayed out of the limelight, a recent appearance showed Meghan’s parenting style has changed and she could have taken tips from Kate Middleton, 37.

In an interview on ITV, she said: “Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable.

“So that was made really challenging and then when you have a newborn – especially as a woman, it’s really, it’s a lot.”

However, despite the struggles of being a new mother, the Duchess appears to have grown in confidence as a mum.

Meghan has tried to install a sense of adventure in her son and is confident in what she wants as a parent, Zoe Bonser, Show Director at The Baby Show, told Express.co.uk.

She explained: “Meghan has taken a very modern view of parenting, unafraid to do what she believes is right and Harry supports her in that and it’s lovely to see them grow as a couple and as parents.”

Taking Archie on such an important trip so early on in his life show they are hoping to give him a sense of adventure and incorporate Archie into their working lives.

“The fact that she and Harry were unafraid to take that long journey to South Africa shows that she is trying to instil in Archie an intrepid sense of adventure from a very young age,” Zoe added.

“Already Archie is a very well-travelled child and it shows that Meghan and Harry want to remain close to their baby at all times, giving him an important role in royal engagements, though no doubt they have a lot of help behind the scenes.”

Meghan also seems confident enough to leave Archie in the care of others and still make sure she has time to enjoy her life separately.

Zoe said: “It’s been great to see both Meghan and Harry enjoying life independently so she’s not just “mummy” or the Duchess of Sussex.

“Recently Meghan jetted off to New York to watch her good friend, Serena Williams battle it out in the final of the US Open, leaving Archie at home with Harry proving that she’s able to have fun outside of her royal engagements and being a mum and confident enough in her team at home to take care of him.”

It also seems like she could be taking tips from her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, as the royal attempts to protect Archie’s privacy.

“Meghan and Harry want to give baby Archie as normal an upbringing as possible,” Zoe told Express.co.uk.

“For instance, Meghan and Harry chose to forego Archie’s royal title, keep him out of the spotlight and parent without an army of staff. It seems that they are in their own happy, private bubble.”

This is similar to the tactics of the Duchess of Cambridge who also wants to give her children a private upbringing.

Zoe explained: “Kate also values privacy and tries to keep the children away from the media apart from on more special occasions or events.”
