Martin Lewis: Money Saving Expert reveals how to save at Specsavers, Office and Schuh

Martin Lewis will often share the latest deals on how viewers can save money. This week, he appeared on the small screen to tell viewers how to get a free eye test at Specsavers. He also revealed how to get discounted items at retail giants Office and Schuh.

He told viewers this can be booked online and will only work in certain stores.

Martin explained Britons should check the exact deal at their branch in order to get the best discount.

“You’ll need to book the test online or by calling your branch,” he added.

“It’s worth mentioning the voucher when you book. Some stores will only give a free eye test when you buy a pair of £69+ glasses, so check if the voucher includes this requirement first.

DON’T MISS

“If it does, the voucher will clearly state, ‘Free eye test when you buy a complete pair of glasses’.”

With Black Friday and Boxing Day sales in the past, customers may struggle to find good bargains.

However, Martin appeared on This Morning today to tell customers how to pick up cheap shoes from Office and Schuh right now.

He said: “High street chains Office and Schuh each have a website – separate from their normal online store – where you can pick up some mega-reduced, ex-display shoes that may have suffered some minor wear-and-tear, after people have tried them on in store.

“The websites are a bit like an online jumble sale where each pair of shoes is listed individually – a bit like eBay or Facebook Marketplace – along with a clear photo of the exact pair you’ll receive, and any defects will be mentioned in the description.”

Martin explained customers can get shoes for a very discounted price.

By doing this, they can get around 30 percent off full price items but shoppers must act fast.

He added: “Prices do vary depending on how noticeable the flaw is, but typically you’ll save about 30 percent on the normal full price.

“For example you could get a pair of Puma Suede trainers for £21 – full-price is £62 – women’s Nike Air Force 1 trainers for £67 – normally £100 – and men’s Vans trainers for £31 – normally £65. “

However, Martin told viewers they must act fast to take advantage of the deal.

He added: “Stock on these sites might be snapped up, so chances are there won’t be many shoes left to choose from this week, and you may need to pop back at a later date.”
