Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Bruno Fernandes development, swap deal twist, loan move eyed | Football | Sport

Bruno Fernandes frustration

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is growing frustrated that Sporting are delaying a deal for Bruno Fernandes.

That’s according to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, who point out that Sporting want to Fernandes to play vs Benfica on Friday.

Sporting chiefs were in England last Friday and discussions between the two clubs are continuing as they look the conclude the deal.

The general consensus is that Sporting do not expect Fernandes to be with them by the time they play Braga next Wednesday.

Development as swap deal twist unfolds

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Andreas Pereira could prove the key in a deal for Fernandes.

That’s because Sporting want a £60million fee upfront, but they also want a player on loan from United.

They see Pereira as the ideal temporary replacement for Fernandes for the remainder of the season.

United aren’t keen though and would instead prefer to send Marcos Rojo, Joel Pereira or Angel Gomes to Lisbon.

Loan move eyed

According to the Manchester Evening News, United want to sign a midfield player on loan for the rest of the season.

It’s a decision that has materialised following injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.

Scouts have reportedly earmarked Marcos Llorente as a player they could bring in from Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniard has only started three league matches this season and is capable of providing healthy competition for the rest of the United midfield.

Koulibaly eyed

Manchester United could be set to complete a deal for Kalidou Koulibaly.

The man-mountain has been a target for the club in the past, but now it looks like the Red Devils could swoop to seal the signing according to reports in Italy.

Italian journalist Fabio Santini told TV show Il Processo: “Napoli will sell Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester United for a figure of around 70-75m euros. It seems all done.

“Naturally, such a deal will be closed only in June and certainly not in January in the winter transfer window.”

Pogba keen on exit

It’s a saga that refuses to go away, but again Paul Pogba’s long-term United future looks bleak.

According to Sky Germany, Pogba wants out of the club and is likely to leave United.

Real Madrid and Juventus are both chasing the World Cup winner.

Mino Raiola is set to hold discussions with both clubs.
