James Bond: Rami Malek’s No Time To Die villain should be ‘SURPRISING’ | Films | Entertainment

Filming is currently underway on 25th official James Bond movie No Time To Die. While Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek has been cast as the villain, very little is known about the latest nemesis of Daniel Craig’s 007. In fact, Spectre baddie Andrew Scott, who played C in the last Bond movie, has speculated 007 fans are in for a surprise from Malek. Speaking with Digital Spy, the Sherlock star spoke of having the “element of surprise” when playing a villain.

Calling Malek “brilliant” Scott said: “He’ll want to do something that’s surprising.

“I think it’s the element of surprise, you know?

“I think it’s the idea that any good villain is, when you’re not safe.

“You don’t just do villain, villain, villain.”

Scott, whose C was an undercover member of Spectre working at MI6 said: “From my own experiences of playing a villain, I was very interested in just doing something that was slightly different.

“It means you’re taking a risk a little bit.

“That’s why I think Javier Bardem was such a great Bond villain because he was just so unusual and surprising, and not something that you have seen before.”

Back in June, Malek revealed that No Time To Die had been a very “taxing” shoot.

Malek said: “So far, so good. So far, so great.

“During the hiatuses, or weeks off [from Mr Robot], I have had the luxury and privilege of going to work on the next James Bond film.

“It is taxing. I will not lie; it is very, very taxing,” he added.

No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
