Hurricane tracker: The SIX dangerous systems whirling around the globe now | World | News

The NOAA’s National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical disturbance located in the north Atlantic Ocean.

It involves showers and thunderstorms which have become a little more concentrated near the centre of a large non-tropical low pressure area located several hundred miles west northwest of the Azores.

Recent satellite date indicates that the low continues to produce a large area of gale to storm-force winds.

This system may acquire some subtropical characteristics over the next two to three days while it moves slowly southward to southeastward over slightly warmer water.

Environmental conditions are expected to become unfavourable for development, however, the chances of formation through 48 hours are at 20 percent, while the chances through five days are at 30 percent.
