Horrific moment holidaying Brits severely beaten and stabbed in Ayia Napa chaos – Video | World | News

The brutal fight broke out by the swimming pool in a resort complex in the Cypriot party town on Thursday evening before a group of ten Kuwaitis were arrested. In the frightening clip, filmed from inside a tour bus, a rabble of men throw a barrage of bone-crunching punches and kicks as they fight in the middle of the busy road. Two men are thrown onto the ground during the scuffle with the mob then stomping on their heads and kicking them in the stomach.

One man appears to use a long blunt instrument to beat another male as he lies on the ground, as holidaymakers can be heard screaming at the group to stop.

The mob soon disperses and they run off, leaving the men lying motionless on the ground as passersby rush to their aid.

Two British men were rushed to Famagusta hospital with serious injuries, with one suffering stab wounds during the clash.

Police arrested a group of ten Kuwaitis who were remanded in custody, according to local media.

Ayia Napa is an immensely popular Mediterranean resort town on the southeast coast of Cyprus, known for its beaches.

It is the largest tourist resort in Cyprus, with a 27,000-person bed capacity and more than 175 hotels and apartments of all sizes.

In 2017, the resort received over 700,000 tourists and accommodated 5 million overnight stays, representing approximately 30% of all Cyprus overnight stays.

But it is not unknown for trouble as the thousands of youthful party-goers drink and dance the nights away.

Just two weeks ago a man claiming to be a British MMA fighter started another mass brawl in the party strip.

One man was knocked unconscious in the fracas as petrified locals filmed from the sidelines.
