Brexit news: Remainer MPs go to court to block Johnson’s Parliament suspension | Politics | News

According to BBC Scotland Political Correspondent Andrew Kerr, Labour MP for Edinburgh South Ian Murray has said there could be emergency court action following the decision to suspend Parliament. He said: “Petitioners who have launched legal action to stop Boris Johnson suspending Parliament are considering the option of pursuing an emergency ruling from the courts. This cross-party group of more than 70 MPs and peers will now consider seeking an interim interdict (similar to an injunction in England and Wales) in the Court of Session to block prorogation. A hearing is currently scheduled for September 6.”
