Ashes TV channel: How to watch England vs Australia third Test live on TV | Cricket | Sport

Australia went 1-0 up in the Ashes after the first Test at Edgbaston but held on for a draw at Lord’s.

England gave the holders a scare in the second Test through a Ben Stokes century and an explosive Jofra Archer spell.

Australia were without star batsman Steve Smith, who had to withdraw after being hit by a 92mph bowl from Archer.

Smith has subsequently been ruled out of the third Test but England have named an unchanged squad ahead of the action at Headingley.

The Ashes: What has been said?

Stokes on Archer: “He gives another dimension to our bowling attack. The first innings he bowled 29 overs but his last spell of eight was one of the best out-and-out fast-bowling spells I have seen since I started playing.

“We’ve seen Mitchell Johnson do it to us, especially in 2013, but Jofra just makes it look so easy. I’d rather have him on my team than have to face him.”

Australia coach Justin Langer: “We know what our plans are to beat England. What we’re not going to do is get caught up in an emotional battle about who’s going to bowl the quickest bouncers.

“We’re here to win the Test match, not see how many helmets we can hit. You can’t get out with a bruise on your arm. We just continue to pick the team we think will win.”
